Wayne D. Hamby, age 81, of Elkhart, Texas died March 12, 2011 at Elkhart Oaks Nursing Center. Burial at Crawford Cemetery is under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine. He was born February 21, 1930 in Anderson County to James Monroe and Rilla Garner Hamby. Mr. Hamby served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Viola Brooks, Iva Thompson, and Lurlin Brown; brothers, Edward Hamby, Norman Hamby, J.C. Hamby, and Homer Hamby. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Annette Hamby; children, Roger Hamby and Kathy, Michael Hamby and Jeri, Janice Molandes and husband Parrish, and Rhonda Linson and husband Larry; grandchildren, Kristy, Kathy, Alicia, Amanda, Monica, Megan, Daniel, Justin, and Asa; great grandchildren, Jayden, Jonah, Jacey, Emily, Rachael, and Kendall.
