PETERSBURG,WEST VIRGINIA -- Minnie M. (Calhoun) Kimble, age 90, of Petersburg, died Monday, March 29, 1999, at the Grant Memorial Hospital.
Born June 8, 1908, in Mozer, she was a daughter of the late William Cecil and Emma S. (Graham) Calhoun.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenford F. Kimble, Sept. 27, 1989; one daughter, Mildred Smith; two brothers, William Clarence "Bill"Calhoun and Charles R. Calhoun; four sisters, Nora Arbogast, who died March 24, 1999, Gladys Hevener, Annie Leach and Jessie Harman.
Mrs. Kimble had resided at the Grant County Nursing Home since Sept. 21, 1994.
She is survived by one daughter, Anna "Dolly"Johnston-Cox, Dumfries, Va.; one sister, Leona Schell, Maysville; one brother, Hugh Calhoun, a resident of Grant County Nursing Home, Petersburg; three grandchildren, Gary Smith, New York City, N.Y., Tomma Jean (Smith) Jenkins, Ahoskie, N.C., Kim Johnston, Charlottesville, Va.; and three great-granddaughters.
Friends will be received at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Phillips officiating.
Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. John's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 462, Petersburg, WV 26847.
