Wirt Adams, an electrician, died Wednesday at a Granbury nursing home. He was 85.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Granbury Church of Christ, where he was a member.

Burial: Granbury Cemetery.

Arrangements: Martin's Funeral Home in Granbury.

Mr. Adams was born in Granbury. He was owner of Midland Electric Shop in Midland for five years, a charter member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a member of the Texas Cattle Raisers Association.

Memorials: The American Cancer Society.

Survivors: Wife, Willie O. Adams of Granbury; three sons, Billy Wirt Adams and Horton Lee Adams, both of Fort Worth, and John Adams of Granbury; two brothers, C.E. Adams of Midland and Otis Adams of Granbury; two sisters, Agatha Rhea of Wichita Falls and Laura Whitt of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
