Allen V Belyeu was the 2nd of 9 children born to Charlie Allen Belyeu and Hettie Marvin Johnson Belyeu. He was born in East Tallassee, Alabama on Sept 18, 1909. He married Bessie Mae Thomas in Clay County on April 23, 1938. They had 3 children, Carolyn Faye Belyeu Forbus born Oct 6, 1939, Allen Douglas Belyeu born Nov 5, 1941 and Glenda Rebecca Belyeu Newsome Hagan born Jan 15, 1944. He was grandfather to 7 and great grandfather to 1. He was greatly loved and is still greatly missed. He was known for his dry humor and wit. He worked most of his life--a great deal of it in the cotton mills in Alexander City.
