The headstone birth date should read 1858. His parents Johann Jost Jung and Caroline Elizabeth Marqardt were married 1 Mar 1852 and their first child was Caroline Jung born 1853. Frederick was the fourth child.



YOUNG.—Frederick A. Young 53 years old, a native of San Antonio died December 30 at O'Daniel Tex. The funeral was held yeaterday in Lavernia, Tex., the Rev. Q. Benold and the Rev, P. Backemeyer officiating. Besides his widow, five daughters, Mrs. Louisa Hoffman, Mrs. Mary Vorpahl, Misses Lillie, Roxy and Stella Young, and four sons, Joseph, John, Eugene and Charles Young, survive. The following were the pallbearers: William Gloeser, William Schievelbein. Gus Ochterberg, William Beautnagl, Ed Schraub and Albert Volkmann.
