Milan, MI--Age 94, died Saturday, March 22, 2003 at the Saline Evangelical Home. She was born October 10, 1908 in Milan, the daughter of Willis and May (Colon) Leonard. On October 18, 1924 she married George Goldsmith in Ann Arbor and he preceded her in death on March 6, 1992. She retired from Ypsilanti State Hospital and was a member of the Marble Memorial United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, OES Milan-Ruth Chapter #106, and enjoyed needlework. She is survived by three daughters, Elora (Francis) Conner, Mary Kenyon, Lois (Ted) Townsely, all of Milan; one son, James (Theresa) Goldsmith of Fort Walton Beach, FL, 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren, and four step-great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, parents and two sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan with Rev. King Hanna officiating. Burial will follow in Marble Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, March 24 at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. with an Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Saline Evangelical Home or OES.
