A military funeral service for retired Army Lt. Col. Albert C. Erbes, 75, a Buffalo native, will be held today in Conyers, Ga. Burial will be in Hillendale Memorial Gardens, Lithonia, Ga.
Erbes of Lithonia died Thursday (Jan. 24, 1991) in Rockdale Hospital, Conyers.
He was on the faculty of the Army's School of Personnel Management during World War II, then on the faculty and staff of the Army Engineers School. After his retirement, he was president of the Atlanta Chapter of the Retired Officers Association.
He is survived by his wife, Sara; a son, Dr. Donald C. Erbes of Gainesville, Fla.; four daughters, Andrea E. Canup and Barbara E. Wilson, both of Stone Mountain, Ga., Lisa E. Cordell of Conyers, and Lori C. Cumbie of Lithonia; a sister, Alancin Patterson of Buffalo, and six grandchildren.
