Dennis Otto Bockholt, age 55, of San Francisco, California, died unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, December 10, 2010.

Funeral Services will be at a later date with burial of his cremated remains at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Constance, Nebraska, under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington, Nebraska.

Dennis was born October 22, 1955, in Yankton, South Dakota, to Sylvester "Sal" and Catherine (Ausdemore) Bockholt. He grew up on the family farm near Constance, Nebraska and graduated from Crofton High School in 1974. He married Jo McGrath on July 11, 1981, in Denver, Colorado.

Survivors include his mother, Catherine Bockholt of Crofton, Nebraska; wife, Jo Bockholt of Denver, Colorado; son, Kyle Bockholt in the US Army; brother, Robert and Karen Bockholt of Littleton, Colorado; five sisters: Jane and Gordon Olson of Mission Hill, South Dakota; Patricia Bockholt of Omaha, Nebraska; Arlene Gerlach of Santa Clara, California; LeAnn and Roger Schieffer of Crofton; and Alice Slechta of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Bockholt and sister, Michele Bockholt.
