Louanna (Luana) married James Milton Childers about 1883.

The 1900 Dade County, MO Census lists L.(Luanna) Childers, head of household, married, female, 35. She has been married 17 years and has five children. The children include: Dona, 15, born Jan, 1885, MO; Samuel(Franklin), 13, born May, 1887, Texas; (John)Homer, 11, born July, 1888, MO; Nannie, 9, born May, 1891, MO; and James, 5, born June, 1896, MO.

In the 1910 Dade County, MO Census Luanna has remarried. We find Henry Taylor, 56, and wife Lou V, 44. This is the second marriage for both, they have been married 7 years. Louanna's daughter Dona, 25, is living with them.

Daughter Dona married Charles B Clayton. They moved often during their marriage and Dona is believed to have died in Orange County, California, October 4, 1968.

Son John Homer may have married Mary Jane Hughey in 1910, and had five children.

Louanna Childers Taylor died at age 53 from Tuberculosis of the lungs. Her daughter Dona Clayton, Everton, MO is the informant on her MO Death Certificate.

If the 1912 date of death is correct on the gravestone of James Childers, it appears that he and Louanna were divorced, as she married Rev. Henry Taylor November 8, 1902.
