Miss Laura Ellen Bailey, age 92, of Mount Victory, KY, died Thursday, Oct 22, 1987, at Humana Hospital Lake Cumberland in Somerset, after several days illness.
A native of Adair County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Martha Susan Conover Bailey of Adair County and was born March 19, 1895. She was a member of the Freedom Church of God in Adair County.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Lou Ann Grahl of Adair County; two nephews, Raymond Grahl, Sunman, Indiana and Russell Grahl of Adair County; three nieces, Mrs. Zilpha Baker of Mount Victory, KY, Mrs. Ruby Stephens, Adair County, and Mrs. Maxie Koser, Manheim, PA, besides several cousins, great nephews, great nieces and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Oliver and William Timothy Bailey of Adair County.
The funeral was Sunday, October 25, 1987, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Rippetoe Funeral Home in Russell Springs, with Bro. Stelia Alsip, London, KY, officiating. Special music was presented by Charlie, Bessie, James and Thelma Roy of Adair County.
Pallbearers were Russell Grahl, Ruel Smith, Leon Huff, Eugene Atchley, James Burton and Ronnie Bryant.
Interment was in the Freedom Cemetery, Adair County.
