Imogene Head, 80, died Monday July 11, 2005 at Shannon Hospital in San Angelo. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday July 13, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Rotan with Brother Corkey Wells officiating. Burial will be in the Belvieu Cemetery directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.
Born October 8, 1924 in Rotan, Imogene was a daughter of the late Homer and Rosie (Fowler) Standford. Imogene married Oscar Head on March 13, 1943 in San Diego, CA. She retired after twenty-four years as a Nurses Aide for Fisher County Hospital. Imogene was very devoted to her family who she left behind. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rotan. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Oscar of sixty years, parents and one sister.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Retta and John Matthews of Spring, TX, Brenda Wood of Dallas and Linda and Ray Beam of San Angelo; two brothers, Lyndle Stanford and Junior Stanford; eight grandchildren; six great- grandchildren and very special nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the West Texas Rehab and the Heart Association.
