"She helped compile the "History of Worth County, Georgia" by L. M. Grubbs, c. 1934, J W. Burke Co, Macon, GA. through her extensive scrapbooks ( see p. 282). She was a member of the Barnard Trail D.A.R. which later would republish this valuable volume. She descended from Robert and Hetty Jewell Pullen, James and Jemima Calloway Hanes, Thomas and Sarah Cooper McLendon and her children, also, through John and Mary Ford (on her husband's side.) Her mother was a staunch Scotch Presbyterian"
She married William Jackson Ford on March 2, 1886.

Suggested edit: Her husband's name is misspelled in her bio. Just an FYI. We have letters from Margaret Mitchell, author of Gone With the Wind, asking Granny for details she needed about living conditions, about life at the time the book was written about. Granny talked of how they were treated by northern soldiers that took over their home, which was located near story location of "Tara". The Margaret Mitchell connection is almost like a royal connection in the South. ;-)
