Age 95 years, died Monday, August 5, 2002 at Provena Villa Franciscan Nursing Center. Born in Brookhaven, Miss. He has resided in Joliet for 80 years. U.S. Army Veteran W.W.II, retired General Refractories and was formerly employed at Joliet Draperies. He was an avid reader of Western novels.

Preceded in death by his first and second wives, one son, one daughter, and one sister. He is survived by two daughters: Lelia (Floyd) Cheatham and Jeanie Bankston both of Milwaukee, Wis., one brother, Haney (Mary) Bankston of Joliet. Ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Two special nieces, Flora Burford and Irene Spinks both of Joliet.

Funeral Service services will be Friday 12 noon, with visitation Friday from 11 a.m to noon at the chapel. Interment and Military Honors Monday 11 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery.
