Hurricane, UT - Elizabeth Martineau Brown, 89, passed away March 9, 2011 in her home in Hurricane, UT.

She was born on April 5, 1921 in Colonial Pacheco, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Stanley T. Martineau and Elizabeth Hawkins Martineau. She was married to Joseph Woodrow Brown in the Manti temple on February 28, 1942.

Beth was a loving, wife, mother, and grandmother. Everyone enjoyed her beautiful flower gardens, crocheting, and her yummy homemade bread. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in the primary and relief society. She also enjoyed serving many years in German extraction.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Beth is survived by children: Josephine Smith (Clair), Evan Brown (Vivian), Eldon Brown, Mindy Sullivan (Jack), LaRue Peace, LaVerne Burner (Brad) and Janette VanLeer (Russ); and many grand, great, and great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, March 11th, at 2:00 p.m.at the Hurricane Cemetery. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 12th, at 2:00 p.m.at the red LDS church on 100 W. 274 S. in Hurricane.
