PECOS Barry Jack Adkins, 53, of University Place, Wash., died Thursday, March 3, 2011, at his residence.

Services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday at First Christian Church in Pecos. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.

He was born in Pecos.

Surivors include his mother and stepfather, Garlene and Bob Burkholder of Pecos; father, Jack A Adkins of Presidio; brothers, Bart Adkins of Midland; stepbrothers, Steve Burkholder of Midland, Johnny Burkholder of Pecos and Matt Burkholder of Odessa; sister, Gerra Jasmine of Pecos; and stepsister, Jamie Hennessey of Odessa.

He was the grandson of Garland and Geraldine Rowe and V O (Bill) and Hazel Adkins.
