J.R. CROWDER IS DEAD AFTER LONG ILLNESS
John R. Crowder died last Thursday morning at his home in the southern suburbs of Roanoke, after a long illness. He had been in declining health for several years. Mr. Crowder was a well known citizen of this section, having spent his life in the northern part of Chambers county and his latter years in Roanoke, where he had many friends. He is survived by his wife and two grown children by a former marriage. Interment was made at Bethel church near Welsh, Friday morning, funeral services being conducted by Revs. Brady Bartley and N.H. Abernethy.
