August 19, 1918 - March 5, 2011.

Jane was born to parents George and Ana Coffee in Evansville Indiana on August 19, 1918, and passed away peacefully on March 5, 2011 in Bakersfield.

She moved to Taft at 6 months of age. After the death of her mother, she was raised lovingly by her father and her foster mother, Emma Schoenley along with her foster brother George.

Jane was an avid golfer who became a charter member of the Buena Vista Women's Golf Club and was known for her annual golf parties which she held for over 50 years. She and her husband enjoyed world travel and played some of the most famous golf courses in the world including St. Andrews in Scotland.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Kirkpatrick, her daughter Janet Chase, her grandson Matthew Ransberger, her brothers Stan, Jack, Eddie and her sister Georgiana. She is survived by her daughter, her sons, her grandchildren. She was also a great grandmother to 8 children.

Visitation hours will be from 3pm to 8:30pm on Thursday, March 10 at Erickson and Brown. A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the West Kern Oil Museum in Jane's memory.
