Harry Joseph Barnhart, 45, of Boones Mill, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011.

He was a lifetime dairyman, operating Clover Meadow Dairy Farm. He attended Bridgewater College and graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Agriculture Economics. Harry enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and his Australian shepherds.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Lecta Barnhart, H.J. and Jule Yaggi.

Surviving are his father, H.N. Barnhart and special friend, Reba Wood; mother, Carolyn Barnhart; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Jim Irons; brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Beth Barnhart; nieces and nephew, Ashley and Kristen Irons, Daniel and Elizabeth Barnhart; stepgrandmother, Annie Yaggi; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted from Antioch Church of the Brethren, 11 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society, 18401 Virgil Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. His family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
