Reva Alta Bryant, age 98 of Cushing, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2011 at her home in Cushing. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Church of Christ (9th and Linwood) in Cushing. Interment will follow at Euchee Valley Memorial Park, Cushing.

Viewing will be available at the Funeral Home only. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Ok.

Reva was born on December 30, 1912 in Ava, Missouri to the late Leo and Alta Pearl (Amos) Kitterman. She moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma at age 3 with her family in a covered wagon. Reva was born the middle child of fourteen. She attended elementary school at Garfield Grade School. Then her family moved to Slick, Oklahoma where she attended high school. Reva played basketball in high school where she was a jump center. She graduated from Slick High School in 1930 at the age of 16, marrying the love of her life W.R. "Bill" Bryant a week after graduation in Bristow. They lived in Slick for a few years, he began working in the oilfield and later settled in the Milfay/Depew area in 1960. They bought a farm, close to the Milfay plant and the farm remains in the family today. She taught Sunday school and was a member of the Church of Christ in Stroud for many years. Reva was the first President of PTA in Depew and also ran the Clothes closet at the church in Stroud. She enjoyed quilting, flowers, gardens and cooking.

Reva loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She loved talking with the teenagers and listening to them. She was very outgoing and full of life. In 1998, she moved to Cushing to be with her daughter. After moving to Cushing, she became a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughter Betty Holsinger and husband Ron of Cushing, sons Wayne Bryant of Caney, Kansas, Billy Don Bryant and wife Sue of Depew, 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband W.R. "Bill" Bryant in 1989, son Dale Atley Bryant, two grandchildren and thirteen brothers and sisters.
