Dorothy E. "Dot" Cawley passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township. She was 104.

She was a daughter of Frank and Annabel Kearns Todd. She was born Dec. 4, 1906 in Bartley, Morris County, and had lived more than 50 years in High Bridge before moving to Flemington in 1989.

She was a retired telephone operator, working 18 years for Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township and then 30 years for Flemington Cut Glass.

She was a member for over 50 years of the High Bridge United Methodist Church. She also belonged to the Clinton Womens Club and the Ringoes Grange.

Dot was loved by family and many friends and will be sadly missed.

Her husband, Howard T. Cawley, died in 1942. She was also predeceased by her daughter Carol S. Burns of Augusta, Ga., who died in 2009; and two half-brothers, William F. Apgar of Lebanon Township, who died in 2009; and Walter Apgar of Clinton Township, who died in 2008.

Survivors include three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Services: Memorial services at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26 at the High Bridge Reformed Church, 23 Church St. Private burial at the Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, under the direction of the Naughright-Scarponi Funeral Home, High Bridge.
