Ronald Earp was born September 1, 1940 in Warwick, Oklahoma to Paul and Mallie (Adams) Earp. He passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age 69 years, 9 months, and 1 day. Ron graduated from Cushing High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. Ron has made Bristow his home for the past 31 years, moving here from Tulsa. He worked for McDonnell Douglas as a painter and later retired from Kwikset in 2004. On November 9, 1977, Ronald Earp married Jewel "Julie" Jackson in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ron attended Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to flea markets, fishing, animals, exotic birds, and spending time with his grandkids, who knew him as Grandpop and Pop-pop. He is survived by his wife, Julie Earp of Bristow; two sons, Ron "Buddy" LaBarbera and his wife, Shelly, of California and Brian Johnson and his wife, Dana, of Coweta; five daughters, Amy Earp Daniels and her husband, Jim, of Connecticut, Sherie LaBarbera of California, Barbara Harper of Sand Springs, Karen Westbrook of Bristow, and Debbi Daughtry and her husband, Rick, of Bristow; two sisters, Karen Buser and her husband, Leroy, of Tulsa and Shirley Henley and her husband, Mike, of Collinsville; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and his loyal friend, Gary Harper of Broken Arrow. He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Ricky Ratliff. Funeral services will be 11am, Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Trinity Baptist Church with Reverend Gene Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens.
