Mr. Rhodes was born March 23, 1906 in Elberton, GA, and died Thursday, April 2, 1987 in a Lufkin nursing home after a long illness. He resided in Lufkin most of his life and was a sander for Moore Chair Company for 40 years and was retired. He served in the U S Navy during WW II and was a member of Pleasant Grove Congregational Methodist Church.
