Services for Mrs. R. C. (Bessie M.) Deal, 72, of Lufkin were held Thursday, August 13, 1987 at the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Deal died Tuesday evening, Aug. 11, 1987 in a local hospital.
She was born on July 6, 1915 in Angelina County, and was a lifelong resident of Lufkin. She was retired, having been employed by the Lufkin ISD in the food service department. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ.
Survivors: son, Thomas Lee Deal of Lufkin; sisters, Bernice Deaton, Dellie Sanders and Maxine Havard, all of Lufkin; and grandchildren, Lance Deal and Whitney Deal of Lufkin and Tommy Deal, Jr. of Houston.
