Statesboro - George Ross Kelly, 70, died Wednesday at home after an apparent heart attack.
The lifelong resident of Bulloch County was a Statesboro businessman more than 50 years and owned and operated Signart Display Co. He was a past commander of the Civil Air Patrol and a member of Statesboro First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emma Thompson Kelly of Statesboro; six daughters, Mrs. Kitty Walters of Florence, S.C., Mrs. Phoebe Collins and Mrs. Emaline Perdoni, both of Sherborn, Mass., Mrs. Jackie Hinz and Ms. Pat Kelly, both of Atlanta, and Mrs. Paula Rogers of Eastman, four sons, George Ross Kelly Jr. of Ashland, Mass., William F. Kelly of Statesboro and Michael D. and Peter F. Kelly, both of Atlanta; and 16 grandchildren.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Statesboro First Baptist Church, burial in Eastside Cemetery. Barnes-Hodges-Turner Funeral Directors of Statesboro.
