Frank W. Augustin
Services for Frank W. Augustin, 83, of Crystal Lake Cave Drive, Dubuque, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Catherine (Iowa) Catholic Church.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., where the wake service will be said at 7 p.m.
Mr. Augustin farmed all of his life in Mosalem Township.
He was born on June 21, 1907, in St. Catherine, son of Frank and Theresa (Gorsche) Augustin. He died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 1991, at Ennoble Manor Care Center.
He married Frances E. Felder on June 3, 1931, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg, Iowa, she survives.
He attended the former Bayless College. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church and its holy name society, Table Mound Senior Citizens Card Club, Happy Hour Club and Dubuque Community Band. He was a former DeKalb Seed Corn Dealer, a former trustee of St. Catherine Catholic Church, and a former member of the St. Catherine School Board, Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service Committee Board, Dubuque County Conservation Board, Dubuque Blood Banks' gallon club and Mosalem Township community chairman.
Also surviving are two sons, Frank Jr. and Donald, both of St. Catherine, a daughter, Mrs. Archie (Sandra) Mueller of Bellevue, Iowa, and 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
