Mrs. Iris Smith Kelly, 80, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at her daughter's residence in Orange, Texas.
Mrs. Kelly was born in Alco, Louisiana and has lived in Orange, Texas since 1967, moving from Valdosta, Georgia.
Her husband, Joseph Wilbur Kelly, Sr., was a Supervisor with Owens Illinois Paper Company and preceded her in death on May 28, 1993 and her son, Joseph Wilbur "Joe" Kelly, Jr. died on March 19, 1989.
Survivors include 3 children: Cheryl (Allen) Connel of Orange, TX, Anita Gale (Dean) Dyson of Orange, TX and Michael (Debbie) Kelly of LaPorte, TX; 3 sisters: Thelma Donaldson Amos, Gwendolyn Richard and Anita Duke; 1 brother: Dr. T. C. Smith; 3 sisters-in-law: Ruby Boree, Ruth Sparkman and Mildred Kelly; 5 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 7, 2011 at PEEPLES FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES, North Jacksonville Chapel, 2220 Soutel Drive near Lem Turner Road with Rev. Darryl Murray, officiating.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery Jacksonville, FL.
