Observer-Reporter, Washington PA, Tuesday 24 January 1984 - ELEANOR MAE COWDEN, 64, of Canonsburg, R. D. 1, died at 9:37 a.m. Monday, January 23, 1984, in Washington Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born November 19, 1919, in Bridgeville, she was the daughter of HARRIET K. MORROW BELL of Bridgeville and the late DAVID BELL. She was a member of the Venice United Presbyterian Church and the Miller's Run Grange. In addition, she had been secretary for the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church. Surviving in addition to her mother are one son, DAVID W. COWDEN of McDonald, R. D. 4; one daughter, BONNIE JEAN COWDEN, at home; two grandsons and two sisters, VIRGINIA KAUFMAN of Bridgeville and HELEN DUBLIN of Pittsburgh. Her husband J. WALKER COWDEN died in November 1983. A brother is also deceased.

D. 1, who died Monday, January 23, 1984, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the William E. Speakman Funeral Home, LTD., Houston. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 26, in the Venice United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. W. Robert Caldwell officiating. Interment in Venice Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be made to the Venice United Presbyterian Church.
