Jesse and Mary were married Aug. 19, 1840 in Wilkinson County, where they attended The Bethel Church.
At Least Two of his sons were in The Confederate States Army, along with many Dozens of their Carroll and Brewer Cousins.
He was the first Mayor of Cochran.
They are both buried here with many of their Family members.
Jesse's brother or son?? Thomas J. Carroll also buried here, was in The Confederate Army. I have read that Jesse served under General Joseph E. Johnston as a Staff Surgeon in the Macon area Hospitals 1864. I do have copies of where The Confederate Army Paid him, for his Medical Services.
