Dorthia Marie Hollon was born June 8, 1924 in Breathitt County, Kentucky. She grew up in Kentucky and Indiana. She was married to Hubert Noble on February 9, 1940 in Breathitt County. She and her husband Hubert lived in Almont and Dryden until he died on Jan. 14, 1988. After Hubert's death Dorthia moved to Imlay City.
She had been employed by Vlasics Foods in Imlay City until she retired. She attended the Imlay City Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are five daughters, Louise Young of Kentucky, Opal Harlow of Pontiac, Cora Gregory of Ohio, Mary Tyson of Romeo, and Patricia (Philip) Arnold of West Branch; three sons, James (Sue) Noble of Kentucky, Kelly (Miriam) Noble of Pontiac, and Hubert Noble Jr. of Imlay City; 29 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild; four brothers, Russell Hollon, Glenn Hollon, Vernon Hollon, and Charlie Hollon; two sisters, Golden Gross and Orene Turner.
Dorthia was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert; two brothers, Billy Ray Hollon and Robert Hollon; and by three sisters, Della Hollon, Martha Hollon and Betty Deaton.
Funeral service was held 1:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City. Pastor James Mellish of the Imlay City Church of the Nazarene officiated.
Burial followed in the Imlay Township Cemetery, Imlay City.
