Isabella Hanlon was the daughter of Johanna Hallahan & Thomas Dwyer. When children, her parents were part of a British government assisted immigration to Canada, run by Peter Robinson in 1825 to bring poor farmers from Southern Ireland to settle land near Lake Ontario. Isabella married Willaim Dwyer and started a family there in Canada before the family moved on to America around 1875, settling in Monett, MO.
