John Cypher.
"John Cypher, a highly respected citizen of Barnettstown, near Dudley," says the Huntingdon News of September 25, "died at his home in that place Thursday morning last, in his eighty-seventh year. He had been a merchant for over forty years, but retired from business life a year or more ago. Few men enjoyed the confidence and esteem of his fellow-men as he did and his death is deeply regretted. He was the father of a large family of children, eleven of whom are living---Mrs. John Nelson of Cessna; G. W. Cypher and Mrs. D. W. Amos, of Saxton; Jacob Cypher, of Denver, Col.; Harry Cypher, of Washington state; Mrs. Levi Reed, of Minersville; James Cypher, of Connellsville; Jackson Cypher, of Ohio; Samuel Cypher, of Houtzdale; Charles Cypher, of New Mexico, and Mrs. Ella Woomer, of Johnstown."
