She completed eight years of elementary school and two years of business school in St. Louis.
After her parents' retirement to Union, she made her home with them for a number of years.
While a resident of Union, she was employed at Carmo Shoe Company and was an active member and secretary/treasurer of the First Baptist Church of Union.
On April 22, 1960, Agnes married Howard C. Williams of St. Louis and they made their home in Dellwood. After her husband's death in 1966, in spite of visual impairment, she went to school to become a medical transcriptionist and retired at age 73 from Christian Hospital Northwest.

After retirement, she became a volunteer in the telephone reassurance program for the County Older Residents Program (CORP) of St. Louis County, and in 1990 received the Volunteer of the Year awarrd from then County Executive H.C. Milford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Winfred Farrell.
Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Oliver Floyd and Clair Farrell of Arnold.
The family was served by White-Mullen Mortuary, Ferguson, with burial at New Friendship Cemetery, Gerald, on Jan. 21.
