Thelma Jensen, 88, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, in Sun City. Born Feb. 9, 1912, in Spanish Fork, Utah, she lived in Sun City for 10 years. She was a bookkeeper for 20 years. Mrs. Jensen was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Jensen, in January 1998. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Lyle Jensen of St. Helena and Ted and Maryann Jensen of Encinitas; sister Rita Hyde of Sandy, Utah; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. A private interment will take place Friday, May 19, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association of San Diego, 8514 Commerce Ave., San Diego, CA 92121. (North County Times, May 18, 2000)
