Syble M. Pollock
Graveside service for Syble M. Pollock, 87, Lawton, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Post Cemetery, Fort Sill, with Chaplain Jessie Forrest officiating.

Mrs. Pollock died Saturday, March 5, 2011, in Lawton.

Burial will be at Post Cemetery under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

She was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Red River County, Texas, to Alford and Lylia M. Jones Marr. She grew up in Red River County, Texas, where she attended local schools. She married B.O. Pollock on Nov. 23, 1941, in Clarksville, Texas. She traveled with her husband and family to various duty stations prior to his death on Aug. 20, 1972. She worked as a waitress at The Country Kitchen and Leo and Ken's Truck Stop. She was a Girl Scout leader and a member of the VFW. She enjoyed sewing and shopping. She was a member of Centenary Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Jane Pollock, Lawton; a daughter, Betty Adams, Lawton; a son-in-law, Charles Donnely, Alvin, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Shelley Pollock, Lawton; 12 grandchildren and their spouses: Brenda and Steve Ryan, La Porte, Texas; Charles Donnely Jr., La Porte, Texas; Paula Donnely, Alvin, Texas; Chad and Leigh Ann Pollock, Arlington, Texas; Jennifer Pollock, Bekki Pollock, Ronnie Pollock Jr., Tara and Josh Deavours and Tyler Pollock, all of Lawton; Billy and Malinda Adams, Wichita Falls, Texas; Sandra and Robert Choate, Decatur, Texas; and Cynthia Hudson, Lawton; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, B.O. Pollock; a daughter, Sylvia Donnely; a son, Dennis Pollock; two brothers: Robert Marr and Oscar Marr; and a son-in-law, Robert Adams.
