Well Known Young Man in Oshtemo Attacked While With Party of Friends Sunday Night.
Two Physicians Called Say Uremic Poisoning Was Malady; Was Once Student at Western Normal.
Clyde S. Howe of Oshtemo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Howe, died suddenly Sunday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kibble, who now occupy the C. H. Rickard farm, southwest of this city. Mr. Howe and a party of friends had gone to this place after attending church, when suddenly he was taken very iII and it was necessary to call Dr. Rush McNair of this city and Dr. Ide of Mattawan. Efforts to relieve him proved ineffectual and he died last night at 11:30 o'clock. The doctors pronounce the cause of his death as acute Bright's disease. Clyde Howe was 17 years of age and was born in Oshtemo, where he was popular with a wide circle of friends. He has been a student at the Western Normal. He is survived by his parents and one brother. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, and will be private. Burial will follow at Genesee Prairie. Kalamazoo Evening Telegraph June 14, 1909 page 1
