Mary Glover Cox, 91, of Charlottesville, died on Monday, February 15, 2010, at Virginia Beach Health Care.

She was born on July 27, 1918, in Scottsville, Virginia, the daughter of the late Joseph Samuel Leap and Georgie Anna Gardner Leap. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Cox.

Mary attended Ferrum College, and lived most of her adult life in Charlottesville working for Virginia National Bank. She was an active member First Baptist Church and loved singing in their choir for many years.

Surviving her are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert M. and Janice Glover of Virginia Beach; her grandson, Christopher Glover; and one great-grandchild, her sister, Louise Taylor; and nephews, Jimmy, Roland, and Steve Leap.

She so cherished the friendship of her sister-in-law, Polly Lawrence of Lexington, Virginia.

A funeral service was held Saturday, February 20, 2010, at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home with the Reverend Sidney Craig officiating.

Interment was private.

The family suggests that any desired memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
