Mrs. Ryles was a member of the United Community Church. Mrs. Ryles retired after 21 years as a Bailiff with the Bibb County Sheriff's Department. Mrs. Ryles is remembered with joy by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, dear friends and was fondly known as "Granny". She was preceded in death by her husband, John George Ryles, Jr., her grandson, Stacy Layfette Cofer and her brother, James Howard Johnson.
Mrs. Ryles is survived by her children, Patricia Arwood (Tommy), B.J. Roquemore (Pete), John George Ryles, III (Denise), and Linda O'Neal (Buddy) all of Macon; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
