Gerald A. Allain, Weston, died Mar 3, 2011, at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston.
Gerald was born Nov 17, 1933, in Marshfield to Edward and Lorraine (Blaettler) Allain. He graduated high school from the former Wausau High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Mae Meyer, on Jul 24, 1954, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Wausau. Together they had three wonderful children and raised a loving family.
Gerald was a Teamster Union representative and president of Local 446, and retired at age 60. After his retirement, he enjoyed restoring old Nashes and traveled to many car shows throughout the United States. Gerald has about 123 trophies from these shows. Gerald built two of his family homes and built many homes with his father. He enjoyed spending time in his workshop and was a great handyman.
Gerald was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joy was his family, and he will be greatly missed.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Mae Allain, Weston; daughters, Sherry Allain, Wausau, and Julie Williams, Schofield; son, Ron Allain, Wausau; a sister, Dolores (Ken) Knight, TX; two brothers, Bud (Gini) Allain, California, and Jim (Kay) Allain, IA; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Marlene (Allain) Slusar.
