THOMASVILLE--Mrs. Mary Black Clinard, 74, wife of S.L. Clinard and resident of Rt.1, Thomasville, died at City Memorial Hospital Thursday night. She was born in Davidson County, November 3, 1890, a daughter of James Washington and Mary Emaline Conrad Black. She was a member of Calvary United Church of Christ, a member of the Ladies Bible Class of the Sunday School and a member of the Ladies Guild. On November 17, 1908, she was married to Mr. Clinard, who survives of the home.Also surviving are four daughters; Mrs. Raymond(Maudie)Lee Fields of Rt.1, Jamestown, Mrs. Marvin(Zelda)Vuncannon of Pineywood Rd., Mrs. Wade (Inez)Luther and Mrs. Jimmy(Vivian)Kinney, both of Rt.1, Thomasville; two sons, S.Eugene Clinard of the home and Charles D. Clinard of Rt.5, Winston-Salem; three sisters; Mrs. Harrison Black, Mrs. Ida Petree and Mrs. Rufus Sledge, all of Thomasville; one brother, Carl Black of Rt.1, Thomasville; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.Funeral will be conducted from Calvary United Church of Christ on Saturday at 4 p.m. by Rev. Huitt Carpenter. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
