He also served in the National Guard for a couples of years and served in Vietnam in 1968-69
He was a Military Journalist when he retired. He went to work for the Veterans Administration as a veterans service rep in Seattle when he retired from the Marines. Later in 1976 he was transfered to Aberdeen Washington and eventualy promoted to office manager in Hoquiam, WA.
in 1980 the family moved to Alaska. in 1981 the family moved to Nome when he got a job with the state dept of law. in 1986 he took early retirement because they did away with the program he managed for the northern half of the state. Bob and wife Betty moved to Yuma AZ in 1995 then spent some time in Texas in 1999 until they moved back to Yuma in 2000.
Bob is survived by his wife Betty and son Todd.
