David William Moreland, son of Elizabeth Hanlin (1825-1892) and John W. Moreland (1825-1901), married Mary Margaret Aronhalt (1856-1904) on October 30, 1878. They had eleven children: Wheeler Milton (1879-1967), Stella Amelia (1881-1962), John Camden (1883-1966), Myra Virginia (1884-1944), Elmer DeWitt (b. 1886), Arenna Mae (1887-1972), Oliver Roswell (1889-1981), Arthur William (1890-1983), Homer Martin (1892-1980), Nora Melisse (1893-1980), and Elizabeth Victoria "Betty" (1896-1976).
