Stephen J Abraham, 60, died at his home. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Church. Abraham, who had been ill for several months, was the husband of Mary A. Balock (Balog), whom he married Jan 10, 1914 at South Bend. He was born
Feb 7, 1888(possibly 1886) in Austria-Hungary, the son of Stephen and Barbara Abraham. He was an employee of the Allis Chalmers Manufacturing comany and came to LaPorte 15 years ago from South Bend. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary, three daughters, Mrs. Allen Borders, Mrs. Chester Womack and Mrs Alexander
Spurr, all of Laporte IN. and a son Joseph Stephen Abraham now serving with the US Army in Germany. Also a brother, Frank, of South Bend, two sisters Mrs Mary Ezsol and Mrs. Agnes Glieurt, both of South Bend. He is will be buried at the Sacred Heart cemetery. (Buried Middle East Lot, P 387-3 page 71 Hungarian Sacred Heart Cemtery. He came to America with parents from the town of Fertoszentmiklos, Hungary.
