Mrs. Janey Matilda Hart, 73, died suddenly at 3:30 p.m. Friday at her home in Maplecrest of a cerebral hemorrhage. She had lived in Sturgis for the past 32 years and previously had resided in Lagrange. She had been employed by the Kirsch Company for 30 years. She was born May 7, 1878 in Lagrange County , daughter of Sanderson E. and Harriet (Wolf) Capman. She was married there in 1895 to Israel Hart who proceeded her in death. Mrs. Hart was a member of the Lagrange Presbyterian Church. Surviving are six children: Dewey Hart of RFD 1, Mrs. Floyd Selner of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Edward Postma of Sturgis, Howard Hart of Warren, WI, Henry Hart of Sturgis and Mrs. Andrew VanaGoeye of Kalamazoo. There are also 22 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two brothers, Charles Henry Capman of Kalamazoo and James Capman of Colon. Internment will be at the Sloan Cemetery south of Lagrange.
