Born Nov. 17, 1939, in Walnut Ridge, he was the son of Virgil A. and Mary Ellen "Jane" Brown.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Brown.
Survivors include two adopted sons, James Anthony Brown, Leavenworth, Kan., and Michael Jason Brown, Holcomb, Mo.; three brothers, Ancil Brown and wife Sybil, Ravenden, Michael Brown and wife Pauletta, Paragould, and Anita Brice, Jonesboro; a sister, Sharon Timperley and husband Clayton, Fontanelle, Neb.
Graveside service was Saturday, Feb. 19, at Old Military Cemetery at Sedgwick.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Children's Homes of Paragould or the charity of the donor's choice.
