Born in Cecil Township July 1, 1883, he was the son of the late SAMUEL and JANE H. CALDWELL HOPPER. Surviving is his wife, MRS. ELLA H. CLOWES HOPPER, two daughters, MRS. JOHN BEDILLION, Hickory; DOROTHY HOPPER, at home; two sons, JOSEPH C., JR., at home; PFC. ROBERT P. HOPPER, U. S. Army, and one grandson. Friends are being receive at Fryer's, 729 Washington Ave., Bridgeville, where services will be held Friday, Nov. 19, at 3:30 p.m., in charge of the Rev. James G. Potter. Burial will be in the Melrose Cemetery, Bridgeville.
