GRANGEVILLE, Idaho - Carrie Ann Zumwalt went to be with her Lord and savior on Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at 2 p.m. She was surrounded by family and people she loved. Carrie, in true fashion, was caring and compassionate, caring more for those around her than herself.
Carrie grew up in Wallace, Idaho, Grangeville, Idaho, and Superior (MT). She graduated from Superior High School and married Kenton R. Lewis. Throughout their 30-plus years of marriage, Carrie diligently served the Lord raising her family, caring for neighbors, raising two gardens and sharing her joy of life with everyone she met. Carrie enjoyed canning, sewing, tennis, walking in the woods and was a life coach, practicing what she believed and motivating others to do the same. Her gifts were many. Later in life she started a career with the state of Montana where she was a supervisor with the Department of Health and Human Services. After retirement she moved back to Grangeville, Idaho, where she was able to enjoy the family ranch and the companionship of her father. Carrie always had a smile and kind word for anyone she met. A true angel on earth, she loved unconditionally and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her father, Ray Zumwalt; and her four children, Arlene Jacovelli, Daniel Lewis, Karina Lewis and Vonn Lewis; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
