96, formerly of 485 W. Sanborn St., Galesburg died at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Ill.
She was born February 6, 1915 in Galesburg, the daughter of Norman H. and Elizabeth Stewart Lourie. She married Delno J. Moore on December 29, 1934 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1998.
She is survived by a nephew, Gary (Karen) Mitchell of Galesburg and two nieces, Linda (Neal) McMeekan of East Peoria, Ill. and Becky (Harold) Burgess of Dahinda, Ill. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Dennis Moore in 1960 and three sisters, Charlotte Holder, Alice Asher and Ruth Mitchell.
Norma worked for the Research Hospital in the dietary department for 13 years. She retired in 1977. She graduated from Galesburg High School. She attended Bethel Baptist Church.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday March 5, 2011 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Jim Ecklund will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
