Louis was one of 12 children born to the late Charles and Minnie Roberta(Shipley) Yarnelli in New Lexington, Ohio. After marrying in 1946, he and his wife moved to Richmond, Indiana, and remained there for 55 years. He was the father of 2 children: Daughter, Deborah Lou Yarnelli Weadick and Son, Kim Ray Yarnelli, grandfather of two: April Weadick Raines and Whitney Rae Yarnelli.
Louis served in the United States Navy.
