Rev. F. P. Chant, Greenfield, Dies
Greenfield - Rev Frank P Chant, 60, former pastor of the Bloomingdale Friends Church in Parke County, died Wednesday at 4:40 a.m. in the Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield.
Rev Chant was pastor of the Greenfield Friends Church. His death followed a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Greenfield Friends Church. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens at Richmond.
Friends may call at the Pasco Memorial Mortuary in Greenfield beginning at noon Thursday.
Franklin Chant was the son of Luella Pickett Hoover Chant and Arthur Chant. He had one half-brother James William Hoover, also a minister, and two half sisters, Luella Hoover Kortright White Nicholson, and Martha Hoover Solomon.
Franklin's great grandparents were Benjamin N Pickett & Martha Jane Eccles Pickett. His great great grandparents were Rachel Huddleston Eccles and John P. Eccles.
