Friends of Jacob Hoke, of Rocherty, were inexpressibly saddened this morning to learn of his sudden death. He dropped dead at 6:30 o’clock this morning while he was passing through the yard adjoining his home. He was on his way to work at the Freeman farm, where he was employed. A physician was summoned immediately, and he pronounced it a case of instant death, caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. The late Mr. Hoke was 66 years of age, and was a member of the United Brethren Church of Rocherty. He was highly esteemed in the borough in which he lived, He is survived by his widow, Catharine Hoke, one daughter, Mrs. Harry Zeigler, of Lebanon, and one son, Raymond, of Rocherty. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday afternoon. Dr. F. Allen Rutherford, county coroner, made an investigation this morning
